About Shackleton's Secret

One miserably cold and wet day a hardworking wife came home feeling lousy after a hectic day in a classroom full of rambunctious elementary school children.

She didn't want to get anything from a pharmacy unless it became really necessary. She wanted to try something for throat support with no artificial ingredients or sweeteners.

The internet was full of suggestions but her husband remembered how his grandmother was always ready with a hot cup of caring in these situations.

Those steaming mugs were a timeless tradition she learned from her mother, who learned it from hers, and so on... down through the generations... and across oceans... from village to village... elder to elder.

Since Granny was no longer with them (R.I.P. ♥♥♥), he wondered if he could recreate her recipe - and maybe improve on it.

He patiently blended traditional ingredients night after night. Eventually, his wife started avoiding the kitchen. She was tired of hearing, "What do you think of this version?"

After months of mixing and experimenting he landed on something they really liked. That recipe became Shackleton's Secret Original Peppermint.

This was never intended to be a business but enough people liked the idea that we decided to take the next step and share it with the world.

It took several more months to find the right partners to help write business plan, make the recipe, create the packaging and invest in the concept.

Is Shackleton's Secret perfect? - Nope. Granny would probably add a pinch more of this and a little less of that.

Is it made with love from our family to yours? - Absolutely.

Shackleton's Secret is owned by 1890752 ONTARIO INC - a family run business located in Toronto, Ontario, CANADA.
