If sore throat or cough persists or becomes worse, seek medical attention.

Is Shackleton's Secret a tea?

No! Technically it is an infusion beverage. You simply mix your desired amount in boiling water. It does not contain any part of the tea plant.

Is 1/2 teaspoon enough? It doesn't seem like very much.

Yes! A little goes a long way! Simply add 1/2 teaspoon (1.4 grams for Peppermint) to 2 cups (250 ml) of boiling water. You don't need to add any more.

If your mug or cup is smaller than 2 cups you can add a little less.

Note: Cups used in the USA are a little smaller (240 ml) than Metric cups (250 ml) used in Canada, UK and Europe.

How much is 1/2 teaspoon?

Why is there undissolved powder at bottom of my mug?

This may happen occasionally. It is normal. We don't add any chemicals or non-food additives to help the ingredients blend so you may see some grains at the bottom of your cup. Some people find the last sip gritty. You don't have to drink the last sip to enjoy Shackleton's Secret.

REMEMBER: You can always put a little less Shackleton's Secret into your cup OR add more water. We recommend using a large mug.

Do I need to use a filter sachet or strainer?

NO! But some people prefer to filter their hot beverages. Its up to you.

REMEMBER: You can always put a little less Shackleton's Secret into your cup OR add more water. We recommend using a large mug.

Why doesn't Shackleton's Secret come in individual prepackaged servings?

We don't believe extra packaging is necessary or good for the environment. Our marketing consultants told us to put the product in small pouches inside a big fancy box because then people might be willing to pay more for less.

We said no.

For now, we think everybody who buys this product has a teaspoon or measuring spoons. You can add a little less to your cup to suit your taste. We might change our minds if people tell us they want the added convenience of single serving packs. Our pouches are made from FDA and Health Canada compliant materials.

Where is Shackleton's Secret made?

Shackleton's Secret is manufactured in a licensed and government inspected food production facility near Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Where do the ingredients come from?

Shackleton's Secret is made from domestic and imported ingredients. To ensure the highest standards of quality, the origin countries for some ingredients may change occasionally but they are typically sourced from Canada, USA, India, Egypt and China.

Why aren't their more delivery options?

Because we want to keep costs down is we use reliable Canada Post Lettermail.

Additional delivery options will come in the future when we can offer those more affordably. Soon you will be able to order on Amazon and other marketplaces offering faster shipping options.
